It has been the most prolific year ever for independent filmmakers’ creativity: with over 30,000 new works added to our database, our Movement has achieved many milestones in 2025 — and even greater, more ambitious goals await us in 2026. One major victory for us is the presentation of the “Golden Anthology: The Year’s Best Authors” during the AFM in Los Angeles.
We are proud to have supported artists who had the courage and perseverance to express themselves through cinema outside the traditional industry, confirming that we are living in a golden age for those who want to create art without censorship.
Your cultural and social triumph is a victory for anyone who loves art as a form of free expression — and it is also a good omen for the future, since the most important chapters in the history of cinema were written by independent authors, and we believe it will be no different in the year to come.
